Late at night he scratched his head and wondered what they'd say. Sleep don't come he heard the Dead sing Fifty Shades Of Gray. Certain persons, certain verses, filled his mind like notes upon a tray. He was seeking equilibrium but all he found was Namaste. He really needs a miracle - something's getting in the way. Powerball one number short, your luck just doesn't change. Feel a fall unlike a sport, it shouldn't feel that strange. Certain muses, certain ruses, as you sigh its just a dream away And you were seeking equilibrium but all you found was Namaste. When you really needs a miracle - something's getting in the way. I'm dreaming (maybe not); I'm freezing (maybe hot). The difference may be wrong. Going strong. Indifference growing strong. Late again but here I am and better now than not. Could I bend and would I break and can I take a shot Certain faces, certain phases. Shakespeare's chorus pointing out the way. I was seeking equilibrium but all I found was Namaste. When I'm seeking equilibrium - somethings always in the way.

Wind and leaves blowing over me. Wind and time coming through. Sitting here I watch the colors drain. All I see is wind and leaves. Days are short but time is long. The sun is dim and so am I... Listening for you coming through that door. But all I hear is wind and leaves. Waiting here and I fantasize. Touching you and I'm alive. All I wanted darling is your love. to lift me up - a painted scene anon... When you're gone I fall down on my knees. Hearing voices disagree. On the floor I grasp at fading rays. But all I got is wind and leaves.

When the screen door slams I'll be out that door for good. When the screen door slams I ain't out back chopping wood. It's been far too long since we've had peace. No matter what I do you scream and it don't cease. When the screen door slams. When we built this home I said "Babe, its just for us". When we laid the stone we were new and full of trust. Then the thunder came and the roof it leaked. The dog went lame, had to put it down that week. When we built this home. With everything to live for things began to die And if the end is nearing, we're still the fools who tried. When I call on God and I promise I will change. When I call on God, belief seems mighty strange. Its been far too long since we've known peace. No matter what we do we make a mess of things When I call on God. And if the end is nearing, am I still a fool to try? When the screen door slams I'll be out that door for good...

Well dance Malinda. Just swing that thing. You make me sing, Malinda. Yeah dance Malinda. You swing that thing. That makes me sing, Malinda. When you take the room I don't see no one else. Like a smoldering diva to a minor's son you look so hot. Well dance Malinda. Just swing that thing. Don't need no ring, Malinda. Coming down the road you sure mean business. You're so Phat and gritty in the back of your truck you make me roar. The way you move all night you do mean business. But when you're wearing your troubles in a flatbed load you still look hot. Well dance Malinda. Just swing that thing. You make me sing, Malinda.

Not Far Away 02:52
As the night falls around me and the light of the day fades away. I feel the light of your song and I'm not far away. In the dreams visiting me I see you and I hear what you say. And it seems that I really haven't gone away. I remember what you always told me. Stop and listen and keep it right here. And the wonder abounds let it hold me. You're around - you are near. In a storm like a movie time is still and then shines a light ray. I am warm in your song and I'm not far away. I remember how much you are in me. Think about how much I love you. And the time doesn't ever seem lonely. Every sound and motion is you. As the night falls around me and the light of the day fades away. I feel the light of your song and I'm not far away.

I see the writing on the wall. A clear message speaks about the fall. What might have been may not occur at all. It makes no difference no matter where you are. A clear song beckons, one you can't ignore. Silent witness; silence to the core. A tick in time. Grapes on a vine. Vintage wine takes time. Eyes straight ahead. Don't look around. Stay the course is what they said. A world divided, a recipe for war. Has it been decided? Have we shut the door? Or will we hear the writing on the wall? The clearest message - a message for us all.

I like the night you can light me a candle. You want to fight? I'll give you all you can handle. I haven't a care I can strut down the street. Whenever you're there I can land on my feet. Because I have you behind me. You know your eyes melt me, falling deep into blue. There's no device can help me. It's not fair but its true. I haven't a care I can strut down the street. Whenever you're there you know I'll land on my feet. Because I have you behind me. Move to the sound - pulse of the heat. Fire playing the beat With you around - there is no defeat Sparks and fantasies meet. I like the night you can light me a candle. You want to fight? I'll give you all you can handle. I haven't a care I can strut down the street. Whenever you're there you know I'll land on my feet. Because I have you behind me.

Sun comes up, sun goes down, its just another day. I haven't had time to think or the time to pray. I work the phone, drive my car, try staying in the lane. The days fly by so fast, is there anything to gain? Is the Lord Almighty watching me? Will he answer my call? Does He know I still love Him? He hears nothing at all? Out the door, race the clock, no time to say good-byes. Shadows climbing over me, I often wonder why. In the din of the day, hidden in the sounds... I swear I hear the voice of G-d telling me to slow down. No reason to hide, reach down inside. His spirit will always be there. When I just let it go, everything flows. Crack of dawn, dew in the field, the beginning of the day. A chance for a fresh new start, is there any other way?

Desert wind and lightening hold the night tucked between us. The vastness there is freedom to vanish the reigns, vanish the stains, vanish our tracks. The shadow of the city at our backs. Outside the forest watchmen find reasons that influence treasonous acts. Laws were made for cheaters. I have seen them stand securely as we ride out of the silence of so many states, through so many gates, so many walls. Somewhere I think I hear the fall of safety in numbers and weak wills colliding - and not deciding at all. Living on the outside of the law. Trying to stay see if we can steal away. Living on the outside of the law. Trying to stay free another day. Flashing hooves like pistons found a wildcat uncoiled. With quick sporadic motions to conquer the plight, conquer the night, conquer the foe. The stallion struck a glancing blow. The cat recoiled, its intentions disrupting, but not corrupting the flow. The aging walls are heavy that held our destinations. They forces us to find new roads to salvage our youth, salvage our truth, salvage our tears. The laws that bind them are here. The law that guides us is far in the distance, so our resistance is clear. Living on the outside of the law. Trying to stay see if we can steal away. Living on the outside of the law. Trying to stay free another day.

Keeping your thoughts above the fray. Untroubled by the day by day. The sky's the limit. You know no limits - no limit on a messenger of fate. Promotion, devotion, commotion and emotion. Intention, extension, contention then suspension. Silently speak you mind. No clues are left behind for them to find. Turn out the lights, assassin for hire. You're out of sight, assassin for hire. You've got it right, assassin for hire. Living on the edge so real. Nobody would think that you can feel. Don't wait to do it, what sees you through it? Trigger finger - no chance for an appeal. Confident, innocent, entitlement, establishment... Conspiracy and tyranny, anxiety, insanity... In darkness you're all eyes. Single purpose - no compromise. You've got it right, assassin for hire. Turn out the lights, assassin for hire. it's black or white, assassin for hire. Courageous, contagious, audacious and outrageous... Submittal (a riddle); a capital acquittal... A contract and a loaded gun. You're gone before they know you're done. You've got it right, assassin for hire. Turn out the lights, assassin for hire. You're out of sight, assassin for hire. it's black or white, assassin for hire.

Rivers Flow 05:26
Oh I wonder, feel the thunder, hear the storm. And all the changes life rearranges and hearts get torn. And all the time it takes to find a way to mend. Rivers flow just like they know what's at the end. There comes a time you must decide to take a chance Afraid of trying, losing, crying - a lonely dance. You could get lost, too high a cost without a friend. But rivers flow just like they know what's at the end. What you've given me and what I've taken. Witness seasons come and go.. Sometimes living free and sometimes quite forsaken. It's not the reaching, its the journey to the goal. Our rivers ran together as layered rivers, running rapid whirlpools. Emotions ran untethered like layered rivers, running rapid whirlpools. Our spirits ran together like layered rivers, running rapids... Sometimes flood stage tributaries branching off. Times and seasons and history, you start to mend. You find some reasons in long journeys, time is a friend. You feel that you will never lose your way again. 'Cause rivers flow just like they know what's at the end.
